Nominations are due Feb. 13 for the 35th annual Golden Nail Awards.

The awards honor individuals, businesses and foundations that have made financial or in-kind contributions to or have volunteered for fine arts organizations in Amarillo and the area.

The gala is set for April 6 in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Grand Plaza, 401 S. Buchanan St.

This year, nomination forms and guidelines are available online at www.visitamarillo.com/golden-nail/. Hard copies are available, too; contact Mary Ramirez at 806-342-2013 or maryr@visitamarillo.com.

Nominations are sought for individual, business, foundation, volunteer and up-and-coming volunteer categories, as well as for the Golden Touch Award, given to "a new, unique, or innovative arts event or activity during the preceding calendar year." An anonymous jury will vote on the awards winners, including those for special awards and for the Summit Award, the top honor.

The awards are distributed by the arts committee of the Amarillo Convention and Visitor Council. Members are Angela Knapp-Eggers, Chairman, and Carol Lovelady, Bobby Steele, Neal Nossaman, Kevin Ball, Mary Jane Johnson, Kathy Sheldon, Sherman Bass and Gaynelle Riffe. An anonymous jury will vote on the awards winners.

For information, contact Kashion Smith at 806-342-2023 or kashion@visitamarillo.com.
