“Family Treats” is a 2025 limited digital series from Panhandle PBS.  Local interviews on family food heritage featuring Serbian, Turkish, Paraguayan, and North American recipes and stories were shared in spring 2025 on air, online, and as a YouTube playlist.  A compilation of the interviews was also broadcast on Panhandle PBS on April 15, 2025.

"Family Treats" was inspired by “Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.,” which airs on Panhandle PBS and helps expand America’s sense of self, stimulating a national conversation about identity with humor, wisdom and compassion. Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and a team of genealogy specialists explore the ancestry of influential people, taking viewers deep into the past to reveal the connections that bind us all.
